About Me

My name is Lisa Porter and for most of you, this will be our second year learning together. I am very excited to get started and can't wait to begin a new year!

I have lived in Todd County my entire life. I received my Bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University with a K - 8 English Certification and a K - 12 Reading Certification. I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from APSU as well.

When I'm not teaching, I love reading and spending time with my family. My husband is Tim Porter and together we have three daughters. Abby is 18, Hannah is almost 17 and a Senior at TCCHS, and Lily is 7 and in 2nd grade at NTES. As a family we enjoy swimming, traveling, watching movies, killing zombies on COD, and going to church at Westside.

As we begin a new school year, I look forward to getting to know each new student and to a new year of learning together. Parents play a large role in the success of their students, so I look forward to meeting parents as well. Together we will make this school year very successful. Students, with hard work and perseverance, you may be surprised at what you can accomplish!
